- Mismatched Earrings -
Hey there, today's post also belongs in the Trend Alert section for the trends of the upcoming fall/winter season.
I filed it under Currently Coveting because as a jewellery lover the Mismatched Earrings Trend is right up my alley. I can't wait to mix my earrings collection.
Although this is a mainstream trend, it looks different every time you wear it and on anyone. Simply because the possibilities to mismatch the earrings are endless. You can mix a stud earring with an oversized one, wear different materials and shapes at the same time, even just one huge statement earring is not off limits. So finally, all those single earrings floating around in the jewellery box have a new purpose.
To give you some inspiration for this trend... here are some of my favourite styles.

For me, this trend is a cool and easy way to put that certain something to the look. I am hooked on the tiny & statement earring look as well as the mismatched pairs.
Do you like this trend as much as I do?
- When all else fails, sprinkle glitter on it -
Although I prefer the warmer season, fashion-wise I am rooting for the colder period, because usually, they bring out some thick trends.
One Trend for Fall/Winter 2017/18 I am currently obsessing over, is the Glitter Boots Trend. Many major designers from Saint Laurent, Oscar de la Renta to Isabel Marant, to name a few, brought the silver sparkle to the feet. What better way to brighten up the cold season than Silver Glitter Boots?

My favourite interpretation of the Glitter Boot Trend is the Saint Laurent knee-high version.
The slouchiness of the Boots takes away the evening elegance and creates a laid-back vibe that makes them wearable for daytime, at least from my point of view. You can keep the rest of the outfit simple because these Boots will rock the show. I would wear them with a black, slim fitted turtle neck dress or some distressed denim for an edgier look.
Unfortunately, these boots come at a very high price point. So, I am hoping that some High Street Retailer brings out his version of the Saint Laurent Glitter Boots that I can get my hands on them.

- The skirt of the season -
One thing I have cast on eye one for a few month is a Denim Skirt.
Also, they are not the newest kids on the block I love their latest transformation from a basic item to a stylish piece. This season the Denim Skirt picks up every trend from mid-wash, mini, maxi and midi to distressed, faded or frilly. Even better, most of the styles are currently on Sale. All I have to do is decide which one I want.
Here are my current favourite Denim Skirts that made my short list.
Which one is your favourite?

After bomber jackets, fishnets and Mules. I am currently hooked on Gingham clothing.
For me, the Gingham is a refreshing alternative to the classic summer prints like flowers, palm trees or any kind of fruits.
Gingham is a plain-woven fabric made from dyed cotton or cotton-blend yarn. The colouring is on the warp yarns and always along the grain (weft). Gingham has no right or wrong side with respect to colour.
Originally the fabric was used for bedding and pyjamas. It became hugely popular in 1959 after actress Brigitte Bardot wore a pink Gingham dress to her wedding.
Depending on the colour of your Gingham garment you can achieve a more subtle or a statement piece vibe. Also, many of these pieces are a combination of Gingham and other summer trends like off-the-shoulder, statement sleeves or ruffles to name a few.
Right now there are so many Gingham pieces in the stores that I have a hard time picking my favourite.
Here are some of my pieces I love at the moment.

- Mules, Mules, and that's right Mules -
I think I mentioned it a few times, but for those of you who are new to my blog, I say it again - I am a sucker for heels. Heels always fit. They make you look slimmer and amp up every outfit in no time.
Lately, I got my eyes on Mules.
Mules are backless shoes and often closed-toed and come in every heel height from flat to high. They have been around since the 18th century, but it took until the 1950s for their fashion breakthrough. It was none other than Marilyn Monroe who made the Mules a fashion must-have.
What I love about Mules is, that they work with every look whether your wear jeans or a more elegant outfit. Mules just add that extra something to the look.
I definitely want to add a pair of Mules to my collection. Of course, I want some high-heeled ones. Not too pricey, considering the Mules trend probably just lasts for a few seasons. Unfortunately, the ones I like so far are all a little bit up in price - so, I have to keep searching for my perfect pair of Mules.
Until then, here are my favourite styles so far.
Oh, and if you come across some affordable yet awesome high-heeled Mules, please tell me where I can purchase them?
- How to wear fishnets in 2017 -
Today I am introducing another new category on Shades of K- Currently Coveting. In Currently Coveting I will share with you, my favourite fashion or beauty styles of the moment.
Right now, I am totally into the revive of the Fishnets.
Well, Fishnets in combination with distressed denim, to be precise. While both styles by themselves are not the latest thing in fashion anymore, however, when you wear these two together, it is quite another thing.
For me, the distressed denim takes away some of the fishnet's sexiness, at the same time the fishnet tights upgrade the distressed denim look. So just by mixing these two styles, you get a wardrobe update in no time. For the rest of the look, you can go in every direction you want. From elegant combined with blazer and heels or to laid back worn with an oversized sweater.
Here are some of my favourite looks.
What's your take on this new style? Please let me know.
- Bomber Jackets -
After I saw Ryan Gosling wearing this Bomber Jacket in his movie Drive, I fall back in love with Bomber Jackets.
Ever since I am constantly searching for another Bomber Jacket to add to my wardrobe. Over the last years, this piece of clothing has become a real jack of all
trades. Depending on what version you choose it can either elevate your outfit or add some edge to it. Nowadays it comes in so many shape and forms, that it isn`t simple limited to wear outside.
Some Bomber Jackets can easily replace the blazer to transform a classic look into a more modern version.
Below I put together different styles of the Bomber Jacket.
