#Favourites #Neon #Camouflage #PlateauSneaker #Sweater #Cropped
As a high heels lover, it took me some time to get accustomed to the flat plateau shoe style, then to find a pair I like, but now I love the look.
With these platform sneakers, I get the height of a heel and the benefits of a sneaker, meaning I don't have to worry about my thin heels getting torn by the pavement. All my fellow high heel lovers know what I mean.
So, to cut things short, these plateau sneakers have quickly made their way up to one of my favourite pieces to wear at the moment.
Also, I am wearing some other all-time favourites clothing. A camouflage print and a sweater, this time cropped and neon-coloured.
What are your favourite items in your wardrobe? Let me know in the comment section below.
#Culotte #PartII #LastWarmDays
This Part II post almost didn't happen due to constant rainy weather during the recent weeks. But thankfully this last week was warm and sunny, so finally I was able to shoot this look.
Cut-wise this black culotte is the same as the khaki one in Part I of this post. I love the lightweight fabric and the paper bag waistline so much that I am already thinking of ways I can transition these culottes into colder temperatures. So maybe you'll see these pants a few times more on here. They have definitely the potential to become some of my favourite pieces of clothing in my wardrobe.

#LogoShirt #Tinkerbell #Jeans&TShirt
This Tinkerbell T-Shirt is one of my favourite piece of clothing at the moment. I wore it on repeat this summer.
This t-shirt is pretty versatile. I wore it casually like in today's pictures. But I also dressed up in combination with a sequined skirt, tied up on top of a lace dress and under a boyfriend blazer.
More than the fashion aspect, this t-shirt holds a sentimental value for me. Disney's Peter Pan was one of my favourite stories. My dad had to read it to me over and over again, today he still says he had to read until he was blue in his face.
What was your favourite childhood book?

#Jumpsuit #Dots #BareShoulders
This is probably the last bare shoulder look for this year because here, in Northern Germany, it feels like autumn is knocking on the door. I took these pictures just seven days ago but between then and now is a 20-degree temperature difference. We went from 35-degree to 15-degree without a transitional period.
Whatever, back to the look: As I said before, a jumpsuit is an outfit in itself, meaning I am ready to go in no time. I also love to wear with cropped jeans jacket or a turtleneck body underneath to prolong the wear time into the autumn season.

#MaxiDress #Prints #PartIII
All good things come in threes like my summer maxi dress posts. Today's maxi dress has summer vibes written all over it with a bright print and flowy lightweight fabric.
Although the print is quite loud, I can't go without any jewellery. But I kept it neutral in gold and brown tones. Which of my three maxi dress looks was your favourite? My favourite one is last week's look. I love the edgier vibe the buckled belt gives the otherwise flowy dress.

Here comes another Maxi Dress look. This time bolder and edgier due to a studded belt.
I bought this dress a few seasons ago at Mango without the belt. I decided to belt it to introduce you to one of the biggest trends for the upcoming fall/winter season...the waist belt.
In the upcoming season, you will find belts everywhere on dresses, blazers, coats simply on every clothing item which is "belt-able".
I like this trend because it is an easy way to look fashionable without the need of buying new clothes.
Will you try out the belt trend?

Maxi Dresses are my favourite thing to wear during the summer season.
So over the next weeks, you will see some other maxi dress looks from me. Unfortunately, the dresses are not from this season because, although I have been searching like a maniac I haven't found a maxi dress I like. So, if you have some recommendations where I can find a new addition to my collection, please leave it in the comment section or email me.

Today I am wearing a head-to-toe Zara look....the Sale made me do it.
Yes, I have to admit I am a sucker for Zara Sales. Although this year's summer sale is a little bit disappointing. Some of the things that were on my radar haven't been marked down...at least so far. I am hoping for further reductions towards the end of the sale season.
Oh, did you watch Drive with Ryan Gosling? If not, I highly recommend it.

On popular demand, here are the heels I wore in last week's outfit post. It just slipped my attention that I didn't take a close up shot from them.
I bought these heels from Zara last year. I love to shop for heels at Zara, as they have reasonable pricing when it comes to real leather heels.
The open-toe ankle boot style is a recurring model in Zara's shoe assortment. They just change the design every season. I own several version of them as they are so comfortable. This year's model has a knotted/ braided design.
#FloralJumpSuit #FloralPrint #DarkFlorals
I can't believe this is just my third outfit post wearing a jumpsuit. I just love them so much because I am dressed in a minute.
I bought this jumpsuit during last year's Zara Summer Sale, and I love it. Although it is long-sleeved the fabric is so lightweight, you can still wear it during the summer months.

#Co-ordSets #PalmTress #SummerBlazer
I am sorry for missing my scheduled posting date yesterday, but a rainy weekend including Monday messed up my shooting schedule.
This co-ord set is a steal from last year's Zara sale. But co-ord sets are still a thing, and I like the print so much that I just had to take some pictures with it. Surprisingly, I even like the blazer on me. As you may have noticed due to the lack of blazers outfits, I am not so into them. Normally, I don't like how blazers look on me. Too stiff, too dated generally speaking just not my style.
But this blazer, with his unique palm tree print and the missing buttons, just made me wanna buy it.
Do you like wearing blazers?

#AnimalPrint #MixingPrints #SnakePrint
Hallo zusammen, here comes my follow up on the Animal Print post I did back in February. This time I took it up a notch by combining two animal prints in one outfit.
When mixing two prints I follow a simple rule, at least one colour of both prints must be the same. In this case, it is obviously the colour black, but it can be any other colour. By following this rule, the two prints have a connecting element, and the outfit doesn't look like I dressed in the dark. But instead very modern and fashionable. Due to the two prints, I kept my boots neutral and chose the "connecting print colour" as my bag colour.
Would you wear two prints in one outfit?
P.S.: My 15% discount code "Karen" at Pepita Barber to shop their jewellery line is still valid. You can check it out here.

#SweatersForever #JeansDIY #LostFiles
Hi there, today's look was shot almost a year ago but somehow I forgot about them. Since then my phone as well as the hoops conked out and I lost the sunglasses.
I know those things that can be replaced and going through the pics, I have to say the sun shielding of these glasses was not the best...otherwise there wouldn't be this frown line between my eyes. Unlike the sunglasses, I still love this look especially the sweater with is silver-star-patches.
#KnitWear #Jeans #WesternBoots
Hey everyone, I thought I post some knitwear looks before the season ends and because I purchased some great pieces during the sale in January including this red knit sweater.
The detailing on the sleeves made me buy this one. Did you buy some clothing during the sale? Oh, and how do you like my newly discovered shooting location? I love it, as it is quite versatile there are so many spaces to shoot. These pics feature only a small part of the area. So you can expect more versatility concerning the background in my upcoming outfit posts.

#SweaterEdition #DirtyDancingSweater
Hey everyone, today my Sweater Edition series is emerging from the shadows. Yes, it's been a while, but I am just too big of a fan to not continue this series.
You probably guessed it already... Dirty Dancing is one of my favourite movies. It was the first movie I watched with some girlfriends in our living room without any parental supervision. And because we were only 12 years old, it wasn't a movie night but rather an afternoon, with homemade waffles and hot chocolate made by my mom. Nevertheless, it made me feel so grown-up at this time. Until today, this movie catapults me into a happy place every time I see or hear anything movie related.
Therefore, I had to order the sweater immediately when I saw it on Zara's website. Two of my favourite things combined in one, how could I say no?
This sweater is a very loose fit. I am wearing a size small, as it was the smallest size available. I would have preferred a size extra small. However, it is still a Dirty Dancing Sweater... you know what I mean?
Do you have a favourite movie?

When it comes to Animal Prints, you either love them or you hate them, am I right?
Well, I am obviously on the "love" side. My tip for wearing animal prints is, start slow maybe with a bag, a belt or a pair of shoes and work your way up.
Or you can mix styles as I did with the embellished biker boots this way the animal print isn't the only focus in your look.
I will share a few other looks including animal prints in the upcoming weeks to get on the bandwagon.
On which side are you right now?

#MenStyle #MenSection #Steal #WinterStyle
For my first outfit post of the year, I opted for my new winter jacket which I bought in the Zara Sale just this Monday.
It was reduced from 80€ to only 25€ if this isn't a steal, then I don't know what it is?
Oh, and it's from the men section. I love to roam the men section, especially for sweatshirts, shirts and jackets. And if you a looking for a boyfriend blazer I also highly recommend the men section, not only at Zara but in general. A lot of the time actual men clothing on a woman look way better on a female body than many women's clothing trying to achieve the boyfriend look, at least in my experience.
The jeans are an old pair of Mango jeans which I customised ripped myself. I highly recommend buying textile scissors it makes life so much easier when you customise your jeans. Trust me, I speak from experience!
Print-wise I am sure some of you don't like this 90s inspired Versace print, At first, I wasn't sure myself. This jacket was one of those pieces where I thought it is either a hit or a massive miss. Well, obviously I decided it is a hit.
How do you feel about the print?

#PlaidShirt #AsymmetricalHemline
The good old plaid is probably in all of your closets. I own quite a few in various colours, but I had to add this one to my collection...
just because of its asymmetrical hemline. I love the fresh spin it gives to the classic plaid shirt. And I like how the longer back part waves with every movement.
Do you like this kind of a plaid shirt?
#PolkaDots #VinylPants
Although, there is for sure a too much by wearing different trends in one look.
I find the polka dot shirt and the vinyl pants are a match made in heaven. The polka dot shirt takes away a bit of the loathsomeness some think the vinyl pants inherent and makes them daytime appropriate. While the vinyl pants add that certain something, to an otherwise standard shirt with pants look.
How would you wear vinyl pants for a daytime look?
#BoyfriendJeans #SloganSweater
This Outfit Post could as well be a Sweater Edition Post, but as I never shared an outfit wearing boyfriend jeans, this time the focus is on the denim.
For me, boyfriend jeans is a must-have in the closet, you might already guess why... the versatility. I can wear the boyfriend jeans casual like I do in this pic, business-appropriate with a blazer, sexy with a bodysuit for a night out and so on. It just works in combo with almost everything in my wardrobe.
So, do you own a boyfriend jeans?

Its been awhile since my last Outfit Post but life got in the way but now I am back in the game. For my first outfit post after the break, I decided to go for some glam... Sequins pants.
As you all know from my Spring/Summer Trend Alert Trend Series #Sequins are a must-have for this season and this is how I like to wear during the day, combined with a denim piece or on warmer days with a logo t-shirt.

#Chapter7 #PearlEmbellishedSweater
Hallelujah! After almost three months last Sunday was the first day where it was possible to walk around outside without a winter coat on.
So, I took the opportunity to take some pictures, for my Sweater Edition.
This pearl embellished sweater was a Christmas gift from my parents. I can't believe I had to wait almost three months to show you one of the latest addition to my sweater collection.
Due to the pearl embellishments, this sweater creates a more dressy vibe. Therefore it works with jeans as well as with more sophisticated pieces like a pencil skirt or cigarette pants.
Oh, and which version do you prefer tucked in or out?

#OverTheKneeBoots
As my long-time readers know, I love pieces of clothing which are versatile. Today's over-the-knee boots fall in this category
When I bought them a few years ago, they were my first pair of over-the-knee boots. Due to the smooth suede fabric, they have a slouchiness to them which allows me to wear them not just over-the-knee. Sometimes I fold the upper part so that they end just below my knees then. This way I get a two-tone effect. Right now my favourite way to wear them crumpled. For me, the crumpled version creates this effortless yet stylish vibe I love so much. You know when you look like you didn't try but you still look like you are on trend.

What do you think? Which version is your favourite?
#VintageVibes #OversizedCardigan
Hallelujah! Finally, an Outfit Post without a winter coat. Also, the temperatures are still on the chillier side, under 5 degree Celcius, but at least the sun shows up for a few hours a day.
This made it possible for me to trade my winter coats for this wool cardigan. I know, still no sweater or shirt post. However, even a tiny step is a step in the right direction, and I never posted a cardigan look before.
This cardigan is a true vintage piece, knitted by my mom 30 years ago. We rediscovered it last year by cleaning out her closet. I had to remove the pilling, but other than that the cardigan was ready to wear. Thanks to the 80s/90s revival the vintage piece is also back in fashion. Besides its bold colour and pattern, I love the shape of it.
For the rest of the look, I opt for some old but beloved acquaintances.
Do you own any vintage pieces?

All your finger crossing didn't work...the weather didn't get better even worse it was raining all the time.
Taking pictures was impossible. Therefore, I bring you a best of my Winter Coat looks. Maybe this best of sends a message to the universe that Winter Coat posts are not needed anymore but instead warmer temperatures.
Until then...what is your favourite Winter Coat look?
#FakeFur #FlatBoots #RedJeans
...another winter coat post. I thought by now the temperatures would be bearable enough to take pictures without a winter coat.
But far from it, before, during the shoot and after the shoot it was snowing. This kind of snow that immediately vanishes after it hits the ground which was frustrating because it made my snow-proof winter boots redundant and my outfit purpose was also melting away.
Anyways, just imagine me in a snowy landscape. This is what I would wear to face the weather.
So, for next week's outfit post keep your fingers crossed that I can take some pictures without a winter coat.

#CamelCoat
After several winter coat posts over the last weeks, I realised one classic coat was missing... the Camel Coat.
Did you know that the first Camel Coat was launched at the end of World War I in 1919? I think one of the reasons the coat became a fashion classic is its versatility. It comes in a neutral colour, with a timeless cut and works for almost every occasion from daytime to nighttime.
I like to style my camel coat with warm colours like this burgundy red.

It is getting quite challenging to put together stylish looks, for this ice-cold temperatures when all I wanna do is wrap myself up in several layers of clothes, to stay warm.
For today's look, I went with different shades of grey and another oversized wool coat, this time in black. I love oversized wool coats in the wintertime because I can easily wear several layers of clothing under it.
The "London" sweater is a steal from the Mango Sale for 9,99 €. I can't resist, not to buy a piece of clothing which has "London" written on it, as it is one of my favourite cities. The boots and the cap are some of my all-time favourite pieces, so you already saw them on here. Nevertheless, because of my devotion to them, they probably pop up around here, again.

I already presented you several winter coats. Due to the continuing cold temperatures, I give you another winter coat post
This animal print coat and I are in a love-hate relationship. I love the print, having said that the shape of the coat generates mixed feelings. One word keeps coming to my mind while I am looking at the pictures "oversized". The vibe of the coat is a bit too dressy for me. I feel in an oversized version this coat would give me this effortlessly, but stylish look, where I look like I am at the top of my fashion game but didn't try to look like this.
Do you agree?

-Must-have coat for the cold season-
Taking today's pictures was a real challenge because the temperatures in Northern Germany are freezing cold these days and getting a good pic without trembling was a piece of art.
Anyways, I stop moaning and go back to this week look. I love bright hues for the winter season as they put some colour back into this dreary winter season which instantly lifts my mood. The knitted sweater is a Christmas gift and the jeans a bargain from the Winter Sale.

#Chapter6 #TheOversizedSweater
For my first outfit post of the year, I share with you another must-have sweater... the oversized sweater.
Such an oversized sweater works great after the holidays to hide the extra pounds you might have gained. Right now with the 80s/90s revival in fashion, it is also a style must-have. To balance out the extra volume on top I combine my oversized sweaters with skinny jeans. Another option would be to tuck the sweater in a little bit, to add some shape.

Funny fact, when I started to take pictures for my "first snow of the season look" it actually started to snow. So, the white points and stripes in today's picture are the first snowflakes of the season and not a broken camera.
While I am still on the hunt for a coloured fake fur coat, I like to borrow this black one from my mom. Yes, it is vintage, but I love the oversized style of the coat. To give the look some shape and structure, I opted for this skinny leather-like coated jeans. Instead of adding colour to the look, I played with different fabrics.
Did it already start to snow in your hometown?

#FurJacket #OvertheKneeBoots
Happy St. Nicholas' Day! Here in Germany, we are celebrating St. Nicholas' Day. St. Nicholas gifts presents to all the children and adults who have been nice throughout the last year.
Now back to today's outfit post. I am wearing two of my winter essentials a fur jacket and over-the-knee boots. As someone who feels cold most of the time, I use a fur vest as an additional layer to keep me from freezing during the cold season. On milder days, I love to wear a fur vest as a winter jacket replacement.
I know over-the-knee boots are a sensible subject. While I love them as a stylish fashion item, others place it in the "Julia Roberts as Vivian in Pretty Woman" category. I feel it is a matter of execution. As long as the fabric of the boots is high-quality, there is nothing tacky about this kind of boots at least for me. Oh, and of course, these heeled over-the-knee boots don't work when snow falls and it is getting slippery, but until then they are on repeat.
Do you wear or pass over-the-knee boots?

Here I am back with another Sweater Look.
This time I went for a style-mix between a hoodie from the men section and a metallic silver skirt. I love the contrast of male and female elements in fashion. They bring a unique edgy vibe to the look.
For an evening out I would change the hoodie for a men's jacket and opt for some high heels instead of boots.

#Chapter4 #Fringes #Studs
I am stepping up the sweater game with some serious fringe and studs detailing in the back.
Although the fringe details are black, they are unmissable due to their length and the fact that they cover the entire back. At a laid table, I am at risk to dip into the food with my fringes. So what, these are the things you get through in the name of fashion.
Oh, and I finally got my hands on a fanny pack. I love the stud detailing on this one, but I have to size up for the next one because my mobile phone hardly fits in. I think I go for a more rectangular shape the next time.
What are your thoughts on the sweater and the fanny pack?

#ChapterThree #Embellishments
Embellishments on any type of clothing are a big thing this season. Of course, I, as a lover of all things bling, couldn't let this trend pass by and bought this pearl embellished hoodie.
I must confess I am not an unconditional wearer of pearls. I find they can easily look old-fashioned. For example, I don't own a pair of pearl earrings, because I feel I look like I jumped out of a hundred-year-old picture into the present.
However, the combination of hoodie and distressed details put a really modern twist on the pearl embellishments. For a business appointment, I would combine the sweater with a pencil skirt and tuck it in.
Do you like pearls?

#ChapterTwo #PonchoSweater
Welcome back to round 2 of my Sweater Edition. This time I am stepping up the sweater game with fringed sleeves and a massive turtleneck.
I love this knitted mohair poncho-style sweater because on mild winter days it replaces a jacket and on cold winter days the sweater is an extra layer to keep me from freezing.
I have to admit the fringes can be challenging when it comes to jackets. The sleeves have to offer enough room for the fringes, otherwise moving my arms becomes difficult. But other than that, I love the Sweater for the cold season. Oh and to achieve an edgier look, I switch the jeans for leather pants.

- Chanel Jacket on a budget -
I have to make a fashion confession, I love blazers on others but hardly ever on myself. I cannot count the many times I saw a blazer jacket and thought this is my go-to piece. But when I try the blazer on, the look usually doesn't meet my expectations. So, I filed myself under the category, not a blazer-kind-of girl.
However, when I discovered this Chanel inspired blazer jacket on the Zara website I couldn't help but order it. To my surprise, I actually liked how it looks on me. So maybe, I found my go-to blazer. For a daytime look, I combined this embellished sweater to achieve a more laid-back look: But I can't wait to create other looks with this blazer jacket.
Do you like the blazer jacket as much as I do?

- One dress, so many options -
There is no way around, the temperatures are that low, especially in the morning and evening hours, that a turtleneck is my go-to-style option.
This black knitted turtleneck dress is a favourite of mine because the style options are endless. For a 9 to 5 workday, I go for this sleek look like pictured in the shots. If it gets colder, I combine a long wool winter coat in a blush tone or the same grey as my boots.
For an evening out, I switch the boots for some sparkly heels, add some statement bracelets and a sequin clutch to turn up the glam vibes. To get an edgier look, I grab some biker boots and a leather jacket and am ready to conquer the day's challenges. For those of you who like the casual vibes, I would opt for a pair of sneakers and a bomber jacket.

- How to style Vinyl Pants -
I know Vinyl Pants are not everyone's cup of tea. That's why I want to share with you my style tricks to make Vinyl Pants wearable for every day.
Yes, I admit Vinyl Pants are tricky to style. They can easily look cheap. To avoid this, I combine Vinyl Pants with softer fabrics like wool or silk, for example. The combination of Vinyl Pants with a more exquisite textile creates an interesting contrast instead of a questionable look. I also prefer to combine more oversized pieces with these slim fitted Vinyl Pants. Again, to balance out this "in your face" pants. For me, this contrast between soft and hard creates a stylish yet wearable everyday look.
A velvet blazer would be another great option to wear with Vinyl Pants.

#ChapterOne #CasualVibes
As you can guess from the heading, over this fall/winter season, I will share with you some sweater related Outfit Post.
For me, a sweater is not a piece of clothing I only wear on a lazy day at home. On the contrary, I wear a sweater for a casual daytime look as well as for a girls night out. It's all about the styling. So, let's get started.
For this look, I opt for a black oversized hoodie with zipper detailing on each side and combined it with a jacket in my favourite print - camouflage. To give the oversized camouflage jacket more shape I rolled up the sleeves. I love this look, for days when I have to run errands or for meeting friends.
