- There is always room for you to curl into me, for me to hold you -
The quote under my heading is by Tyler Knott. His work is my latest discovery on Instagram. He daily shares some snippets of his work. Mostly these small samples are about love, in one way or another.
- Perhaps the butterfly is the proof that you can go through a great deal of darkness and still become something beautiful -
Hello, Bonjour, Guten Tag and welcome back to a new year here on my blog. I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and a great start to the new year.
- Vanilla Crescents -
Just in time for the Christmas holidays, I share with you another recipe for some of my favourite Christmas Cookies...the Vanilla Crescents. They take a little bit more time than the Snowflake Cookies, but the effort is worth it because they are so delicious.
Funny fact, when I started to take pictures for my "first snow of the season look" it actually started to snow. So, the white points and stripes in today's picture are the first snowflakes of the season and not a broken camera.
- Why you should shave your knitwear -
I love my cosy knits for the cold season, but the one thing I can't stand about knitwear is the pilling. You know this tiny wool knots that emerge on your knits every time you wear them and instantly cheapen your look.
- It's time for cuddles, fireplaces and some hot fashion to stay warm -
We switched from summertime to wintertime last weekend. While on the one hand, I had one extra hour of sleep, the days are getting noticeably shorter, and the temperature is declining, on the other hand. Which means spending more time inside the house preferably in front of a fireplace.
- Chanel Jacket on a budget -
I have to make a fashion confession, I love blazers on others but hardly ever on myself. I cannot count the many times I saw a blazer jacket and thought this is my go-to piece. But when I try the blazer on, the look usually doesn't meet my expectations. So, I filed myself under the category, not a blazer-kind-of girl.
- How to get long thick lashes using loose powder -
Don't we all want these thick long lashes that we see on female VIPs all the time? Unfortunately, putting on false eyelashes is quite time-consuming and therefore not an option for the everyday makeup routine.
- How to wear your summer maxi dress in the fall -
Here comes my first fall Outfit Post of the year. I am sure you all have pieces of clothing in your wardrobe you love so much you want to wear them all year around. For me, this blue Michael Kors dress is one of those pieces.
- Corduroy -
I already introduced some trends for the upcoming fall/winter season... the colour Red, glitter boots, and fanny packs. To give you a complete overview of what to shop and what not, I will post the major trends of the upcoming season here on my blog. So, let's get started. This fall/winter season has a lot different style and textures to offer. Straight from the 70s into the here and now... Corduroy.
- How to get smooth and radiant skin without spending a fortune on lotions -
For years I spend a fortune on body lotions which promised to give me the smoothest skin of my life. The outcome was mediocre. Sure my skin was softer and more hydrated right after the application, but in the long run, I just wasn't happy with my skin, until I started Dry Brushing it.
- Daytime Princess Vibes -
Today's look is the most playful one on my blog, so far. I usually opt for a pair of jeans instead of a skirt, because it is so much more convenient. However, I have to admit wearing a skirt makes me feel more feminine in an instant. I even think, my posture and walk changes a little bit.
- The Trend Colour for Fall/Winter 2017/18
In fashion, every new season brings a new must-have colour. Some of these colours are not always the ones I reach for but for the upcoming fall/winter season, one of my favourite hues made the cut for the must-have colour of the season - Red.
- How to get a M·A·C product for free -
I admit it is not a real Beauty Trick in terms of learning a new skill, but getting a new product for free is a great way to try out a colour you otherwise wouldn't have purchased with your own hard earned money. Besides, I have the feeling the BACK TO M·A·C program isn't well-known.
- The Beauty Benefits of Honey -
A year ago or so, I had extremely dry skin due to the use of Micellar Water. Even weeks after the use my skin was still dry as a desert. After unsuccessfully trying out numerous creams, I started searching for alternative remedies. To my surprise, one food kept popping up again and again - Honey.
- To tuck or not to tuck -
Finally, the rain is gone. Nonetheless, the weather is still anything else but sunny. So I have to dress for those days where the sun doesn't shine, it is too warm for two layers but too cold for short-sleeved clothes.
- How to fix nicks in your heels -
Today's post is a follow-up post on my last Style Trick in June where I told you how to prevent your heels from getting scuffed. This time I will share with you, my heel saving trick for already nicked heels. I got it from my sister, and she got it from straight from the horse's mouth - her cobbler.
- Maxi Skirt Diaries Part II -
Due to the lack of sun for the last ten days, my legs are still white as snow. That's why, I reached for my favourite Maxi Skirt when the sun finally decided to show its face again, to get back into the swing of summer fashion.
- A new spin on a fashion classic -
To my great delight, Denim has secured its place in fashion. Gone the days when Denim was only suitable for leisure time. Over the last years, Denim got more and more fashionable by transforming seasonal trends in Denim Wear.
